Emphasis is to provide quality education in our schools. Therefore, our students get admission in Govt. Schools without any difficulty.

Patparganj School


In May 1995; Godhuli started a primary school named as BAPU BA GODHULI SHIKSHA GRIH in Jan Vikas Kendra, Shastri Mohalla, Patparganj, East Delhi for financially poor children from the Patparganj slums. The school was being run in a small building of the slum wing (MCD) located in slum area itself. Keeping in view the Government’s new policy, the school had to be discontinued from August 2008 after main streaming of all students in nearby government schools.

Meera Bagh School

Godhuli is running a morning and afternoon schools at Meera Bagh, Paschim Vihar New Delhi for poor children since October 2000. We provide free education which includes free study material and school uniform so that the families are encouraged to send their children to the school. Education pattern in the afternoon School is based on the guidelines set by Universal Elementary Education (UEE) Mission of Govt. of Delhi. Strength of students in morning school is around 225 and in afternoon school 120.

Computer Literacy Program

From 2008 onward, Godhuli started a new project viz. Computer Literacy Programme, for deserving poor residents/students of Meera Bagh slum and its adjoining areas. Sole aim of the programme is make deserving students computer literate,which will help them in getting employement in future. All expenses for Computer Programme are borne by Godhuli.

Therefore, the students were enrolled at Lal Bahadur Training Institute, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi for Basic as well Advanced Computer Software Courses. In 2009, three Godhuli students completed a course and received certificate in Advanced Computer Software (CACS). These students were successful in securing suitable employment.

Association with other NGOs

In order to give boost to literacy programme, Godhuli had entered into MOUs with other NGOs in similar field, namely;

All India Society to Enliven the less Fortunate (AISELF) for arranging school building and providing assistance in running a school at Meera Bagh New Delhi

Srijan Foundation Trust, New Delhi for running a free coaching centre in a very poor village at Kuma Para, Dist Puri, Orissa.

Ekta Shakti Sangathan, a social welfare registered society, to run school at the premises of Basti Vikas Kendra of Municipal Corporation of Delhi in slum area of Blocks 6,7, and 8 of Khichripur, East Delhi for following activities:-

Nursery/KG Classes

Free coaching classes for class VI to class X students

Vocational Training Programs in Computer Applications

Two ‘Nursery Classes’ with 35 children each were started from Aug 2009 and are running quite satisfactorily. The children look smart in their uniforms provided free by Godhuli.

Coaching classes for class VI to X in English, Maths and Science started from Sep 2009 with two sessions of 3 hrs each for boys in morning and girls in the afternoon for 6 days a week. Now we are having one hr coaching per subject per day and two subjects a day ie two hrs for each of three subjects per week for optimum results and academic improvement. Nearly 30 Boys and Girls are getting benefitted by coaching classes.
